GYO TAI, PRAJURIT MANGKUNEGARAN PADA MASA PENDUDUKAN JEPANG 1942-1945

Abstract


Alternation of the Dutch Government to the Japanese occupation government at the Praja Mangkunegaran has changed several existing circumstances. One of the policies applied by the Japanese to Praja Mangkunegaran lead military Mangkunegaran dissolved. The purposed of this due to the dissolution of Japan's desired to remove all Western influence (the Netherlands) in Indonesia, not least in the Praja Mangkunegaran.

Praja Mangkunegaran allowed to form as an employee-based soldiers to guard the palace Ko and on condition that the structure, equipment and coaching staff the guard set by the Japanese. Soldiers Gyo Tai, that most members of these soldiers came from the youth in the region Mangkunegaran palace. In the reign of the Dutch East Indies army Mangkunegaran outside the bureaucratic structure of government Praja Mangkunegaran but in the Japanese military Mangkunegaran under the supervision of one of the offices in Mangkunegaran. Gyo Tai soldiers on duty as a security guard Praja Mangkunegaran. This research used historical methode.
